Snacking Does a Body Good!

A new study from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition examined the associations of snacking with weight status and abdominal obesity in adolescents. It was found that snackers, compared with nonsnackers, were less likely to be overweight or obese and less likely to have abdominal obesity.

The Bottom Line: Eat small, frequent meals to manage you weight. The best snacks have a smal amount of protein and some healthy carbs such as fruit and yogurt or low fat cheese and whole grain crackers.
